«Astana» continues its journey in the VTB United League: today, Oleg Kiselev's team will meet «Avtodor» in their home arena.

The club was founded in 1960 under the name «Spartak» (later «Avtodorozhnik,» since 1996 — «Avtodor»).

As Oleg Kiselev noted before the game, the Saratov team is a serious opponent, having won on the road against «Uralmash» and only lost to «Enisey» due to a single effective possession by the Krasnoyarsk team.

«After a couple of defeats, we must recover psychologically and bring new energy in preparation for the game. «Astana» is a powerful opponent; the Kazakh team has performed at a high level in both matches. On Republic Day, «Astana» secured their second victory in the regular season of the VTB United League, marking their first home win.

The outcome of the game was succinctly described by the visiting head coach, Milenko Bogicevic: «I am disappointed with our performance. We started fairly well, but we had a breakdown at some point, and it was difficult for us to recover and get back into the game.» «Astana» took the lead in the first quarter and maintained it throughout the remaining match, not conceding any advantage to «Avtodor.»

The standout performers for the capital club were Royce Hamm (17 points, 13 rebounds), Carvell Anderson (16 points), Markell Johnson (15 points, 7 rebounds), Devin Davis (8 points, 9 rebounds), and Felipe Hase (5 points, 9 rebounds).
 
Next, Oleg Kiselev's team will travel to Moscow for a match against Moscow's CSKA on October 28. The main team's next home game will occur on November 9, with «Lokomotiv-Kuban» visiting Astana.
