The professional basketball club Astana and the National Basketball Federation of Kazakhstan paid a visit to Qadam Special School, the center for children and adolescents with special needs.
Forward Ruslan Aitkali and center Igor Kanygin came to visit the kids. Children had a great time with professional basketball players, participated in games, and received gifts.
«The impressions are excellent. Everything here is being done to help them develop. This is a very cool center, it was my first time in such a place, and I was pleasantly surprised. The children are great; it is clear that they are under excellent care. They tried and participated in all activities, did what we showed them, and scored into the basket. It was very cool to observe this and participate in this process; sport is health, which is the main thing for children.» — Ruslan shared, emphasizing that basketball players are always happy to see children, including pupils of special centers, at the matches of Astana and the Kazakhstan national team .
«I liked the event very much. The children are very nice and friendly. They are great. He showed one child some exercises, and although it was new to him, he tried and managed to do it. One boy came up and hugged me; it's very nice.» - said Igor.
