On 12th September «Astana» held its traditional annual Media Day. The main team's players and the coaching staff, «Astana Academy,» and an under-18 team, «Astana Youth,» took part in it. The only players absent from the photo session were those called up for the national team training camp.
Just like last year, the location for the Media Day was the Academy Hall at 30 Tauelsizdik Avenue. The spacious venue not only accommodated everything necessary for photo and video shoots but also allowed for other exciting activities. The basketball players could not only play basketball but also have a chance to enjoy Kazakh snacks or try on the costume of a batyr (a historical warrior figure) and compete with each other in shooting small balls into cups.
Players also had the opportunity to receive evocative photo cards as souvenirs.

The club's partner, Okadzaki, delivered delicious pizza to the Media Day, and thanks to another partner of «Astana,» Arzu Life Fitness, athletes could quench their thirst.
Media Day was open to journalists who could look at the team's playing kit for the upcoming season, interview players and the coaching staff, and learn more about the club's goals for the upcoming season.
The following day, the main team headed to Serbia for their training camp. The training process continues, and on 14th October, «Astana» will begin the new season of the VTB United League with a home game against «Zenit» from St. Petersburg.
