«Astana» was defeated by «Nizhny Novgorod

«Astana» played its first home match of the spring in the United League VTB.

The opposing team was «Parizh Nizhny Novgorod.» Originally scheduled for February 9, the game was postponed as the visiting team was unable to travel to Kazakhstan's capital for the match.

This match marked the debut of «Astana’s» new head coach, Fotios Takianos. Unfortunately, our guys lost to «Parizh NN» for the first time this season – 64:82.

It’s worth noting that both teams had a high three-point shooting percentage – 40% for «Astana» and 50% for the guests. 

The standout players for our team were Markell Johnson (18 points, 8 assists), Royce Hamm (15 points, 10 rebounds, his eighth double-double of the season), and Carvel Anderson (12 points).

«Astana» will now play a home match on March 6 – hosting «MINSK.»
