PBC Astana and Otandastar Fund have signed a memorandum of mutual cooperation. The official signing ceremony took place as part of a business meeting attended by Samson Arakelyan, General Director of PBC Astana, and Daniyar Kadyrov, President of the Otandastar Fund.

The signed memorandum aims to develop sports initiatives, support youth, and organize joint events. A key focus is on supporting students-kandas, creating opportunities for them to realize their potential in sports, and strengthening their connection to their cultural roots through athletic achievements. During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of partnership in the development of Kazakhstani sports and in promoting an active and healthy lifestyle among young people.

The first joint sporting event within this cooperation is already scheduled for April 13, 2025. With Astana's support, a 3x3 Olympic-format basketball tournament will be held among students-kandas. This event will serve as an important step in strengthening sports ties and supporting young talents.

Both PBC Astana and Otandastar Fund express confidence that this cooperation will be long-term and will significantly contribute to the development of sports in Kazakhstan. It will also help foster the sporting spirit among students-kandas, enabling them to unlock their potential and integrate into the country's sports community.

Samson Arakelyan, General Director of PBC Astana:

«One of the key areas of our cooperation is inviting talented ethnic Kazakhs with a background in basketball to their historical homeland. It is no secret that Kazakhstan faces a shortage of local athletes capable of representing the country and defending our national flag at international tournaments. Ethnic Kazakhs living in China, Mongolia, and Russia have the opportunity to train and compete at a high level, which opens the door for their future participation in the Kazakhstan national team and Astana club as citizens of our country. In this process, legal and informational support from the fund will play a crucial role.»

Daniyar Kadyrov, President of the Otandastar Fund:

«Sport has always been a powerful unifying force. It transcends borders, connects people, and helps young talents reach their full potential. Our shared goal is to create the right conditions for our students-kandas, ensuring that every promising athlete has the opportunity to develop, receive necessary support, and contribute to the growth of Kazakhstani sports. I want to thank our partners from PBC Astana for their openness to cooperation and their willingness to work together.»
