Samson Arakelyan appointed Technical Delegate and Commissioner for the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup

Samson Arakelyan, General Director of BC Astana, has been appointed as a Technical Delegate and Commissioner for the FIBA U19 Basketball World Cup, which will take place from 28 June to 6 July 2025 in Lausanne, Switzerland.

This appointment reflects Samson Arakelyan’s strong professional reputation and international recognition. Only four Technical Delegates have been named for this tournament, each representing their own continent: Africa, the Americas, Europe, and Asia. Samson Arakelyan will represent Asia, making him the first person from Kazakhstan to hold such an important role on the global basketball stage.
