For the first time in its history, Basketball Club Astana will compete in the FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL) — a major pan-regional tournament organised by FIBA Asia that brings together top teams from West Asia, the Persian Gulf, India, and Kazakhstan. The competition is split into two zones: the Gulf League and the West Asia League. Following the draw, Astana has been placed in the West Asia League. The full list of participating teams and match schedule will be announced soon.

At the same time, Astana will continue its participation in the Kazakhstan National League, where the club claimed gold last season.

Meanwhile, youth team Astana-Zhastar is set to make its debut in the VTB United Youth League for the 2025/26 season. A total of 14 teams — including two from outside Russia — will compete. Astana-Zhastar is scheduled to play 52 regular-season games, with 26 home games hosted at the Saryarka Republican Velodrome.

Both the main and youth teams will also take part in the 2025 Kazakhstan Cup, to be held in Atyrau from 15 to 20 September. Astana enters the competition as the reigning champion.
