General Director of Basketball Club Astana, Samson Gevorkovich Arakelyan, has confirmed the renewal of his licence as a FIBA Technical Delegate and Commissioner for the next Olympic cycle — until 31 August 2029.
His next official assignment will be at the FIBA Intercontinental Cup, which will take place this September in Singapore. Known as the FIBA Club World Cup, this tournament brings together the champions of the five FIBA continental federations, as well as a representative from the NBA G League.
Earlier this year, Samson Gevorkovich had the honour of serving as commissioner at both the semi-finals and final of the FIBA U19 World Cup in Switzerland.
