Astana round off their WASL road series on Thursday, 19 February, with an away game against Syria’s Al Wahda in the FIBA WASL West Asia League (2025/26). The matchup will be played at the Nouhad Nawfal Sports Complex in Lebanon, tipping off at 21:00 local time (23:55 Astana time).
Al Wahda can no longer reach the next stage, but they’ll still be playing for pride — and for a strong finish in front of their supporters. For Astana, the stakes are clear. With the race at the top still tight, they’ll be looking to steady themselves, bank a result, and keep their position in the leading group as the playoffs get closer — especially with home-court advantage on the line.
The teams last met in December, when Astana set the tone early and went on to win 88–64. This time around, Astana will be looking for the same sharpness and control on the road, particularly after a difficult night against Al Riyadi in Beirut.
Astana’s offence continues to run through a familiar trio. Adas Juškevičius has been their top scorer in WASL at around 16.0 points per game, E.J. Day has been the main organiser and creator (15.8 points and 7.8 assists on average), and Robert Pan has given the team consistent production at both ends (14.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game). Al Wahda, meanwhile, lean heavily on James Justice Jr., who leads them with 24.3 points per game and also sets the table at 5.2 assists, with Domagoj Proleta (22.0 points, 6.5 rebounds) and Falando Cortez Jones (14.7 points) providing additional scoring punch.
Starting at 23:55 Astana time at Nouhad Nawfal Sports Complex in Lebanon.
