Basketball Club Astana will take part in the FIBA WASL Final 8 for the 2025–2026 season.
FIBA has officially rescheduled the decisive stage of the tournament to 25 September–1 October 2026. The Final 8 will bring together the strongest clubs from West Asia and the Gulf region.
The decision was made due to the difficult situation in the Middle East and Gulf region, as well as flight restrictions and logistical challenges that affected the competition in March and April 2026. Changes to domestic league calendars and national team preparations for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 Qualifiers were also taken into consideration.
Despite the circumstances, Astana secured their place in the Final 8 and will continue the fight for the tournament trophy. The top two teams from the final stage will qualify for the Basketball Champions League Asia 2026.
Further details on the host venue and game schedule will be announced at a later date.
