Balashov came through the Atyrau basketball system and began his professional career with Barsy Atyrau. He later joined Astana in 2021, gaining experience with the club in the Kazakhstan National League, the VTB United League and international competitions.
Last season, he played for BC Novosibirsk in the Russian Super League, appearing in 32 games and averaging 8.4 points, 3.1 assists and 2.7 rebounds.
A regular part of the Kazakhstan national team setup, Balashov brings experience, composure and depth to Astana’s backcourt.
