A familiar face to Astana fans, Zhigulin previously spent several seasons with the club before returning ahead of the 2025/26 season. Since coming back, he has been one of the team’s most experienced and reliable players.
During the 2025/26 Kazakhstan National League season, the centre appeared in 42 games, averaging 8.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game, with an efficiency rating of 9.8.
Zhigulin also represented Astana in the FIBA West Asia Super League (WASL), where he averaged 9.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game.
