Basketball Club Astana is proud to announce that CEO Samson Arakelyan has been appointed as the Technical Delegate for the FIBA Asia Cup 2029 Pre-Qualifiers.
The tournament will take place from 26 to 31 August 2026 at the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace, bringing together the national teams of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Palestine, Sri Lanka and the Maldives as they compete for a place in the next stage of qualification for the FIBA Asia Cup 2029.
Arakelyan’s appointment reflects his experience in international basketball administration and marks another important milestone for both the club and Kazakh basketball.
