Rustam Murzagaliyev, Askar Maidyekin, Ruslan Aitkali, Oleg Balashov, Robert Pan, Vladimir Ivanov, Alexander Yermakov and assistant coach Anton Ponomarev have all been called up to the national team training camp as preparations begin for the upcoming tournament.
The training camp will get underway in Almaty on 15 August, with the FIBA Asia Cup 2029 Pre-Qualifiers set to take place from 26–31 August at the Baluan Sholak Sports Palace.
Kazakhstan will face Kyrgyzstan, Palestine, Sri Lanka and the Maldives as they compete for a place in the next stage of qualification.
